Xbox wireless g (no connection?)

  • i searched and still no avail...

    if i use cat5 i can get onto the xbox via router to pc w/ no probs

    so i went and got the g card plugged it in.. and xbox isnt pulling an ip (ip:0.0.0.0) wep is disabled too btw..after a few min it will pull the ip as 192.168.1.102 (which is right when i use my cat5 cable)

    i have a wireless access point router linksys 2.4ghz 802.11b that is cat5 into the pc and router... when xbox shows the ip i ping it with no avail...

    if anyone can help ill even paypal you 10 bucks lol

    sorry im sure its a simple fix but its got me going nuts!!!

  • for testing purpose i have them next to eachother, range isnt an issue

    compatibility... i would think they are.. the box says 802.11b on the box

    when i put the disk in to see if was that causing hte issues, it found my network with no problem...

    my box is hard modded too if it makes a diff


  • sounds like your just out of range?


  • are g and b compatible?... looks like you are using both on the one system.
