Router brand

  • I will be needing (mostly wanting)a good heavy duty router. I have seen and read much about the Triton 3 1/4HP plunge router. Does anyone have it? What are your views?

    From everything I’ve read, the Triton has not lived up to all the initial hype it received. If it were my money that was going to be spent on a high quality, powerful router it would probably be one of these two.

    I have the same Makita kit that space does and have been very satisfied with it. Good luck with your search.

  • i might be opening mouth and inserting foot here but i have the Makita RF-1101 kit. lots of power. awesome machine!

    however if you are looking for power power power, if it were me, i would buy a milwaukee
